Amanda McCauley Board Secretary Board member since 2018

I grew up in this neighborhood and attended the neighborhood schools. My husband and I have three children who also attended Hopi, IMS, and Arcadia. Our youngest is currently a senior at Arcadia. Through the years, I have been very involved in the community, working at Hopi as a substitute teacher, volunteering countless hours at all three schools as well as Shepherd of the Hills, leading Girl Scout troops and actively participating with the Troop 6 Boy Scout Troop. Once my children reached Arcadia High School, I became very involved with the PTO, ultimately serving as President for two years.

This year, I am finishing my commitment to the PTO Executive Board by serving as the Advisor to the PTO co-Presidents and Executive Board. In addition to being an active community member, I have remodeled several houses over the years and understand (on a basic level) many of the issues surrounding variances, building, and the process of building homes.

I feel strongly about helping our neighborhood preserve its uniqueness, maintain the wonderful sense of togetherness residents feel, encourage pride in ownership of homes, perpetuate the desire to help one another, and generally retain our "Arcadia" identity as the city grows and changes.
