Ryan Short

ACMNA Treasurer

I grew up in Indiana and visited Arizona often to see my Grandmother. After graduating from High School, I moved here to attend Arizona State University where I majored in Accounting. I always assumed I would move back to the Midwest but fell in love with the weather and all that the Phoenix area has to offer.

My wife Libby is a native Phoenician, and we have two boys, ages 12 and 10. We have lived in Arcadia for over two years and were drawn to the neighborhood by the lush vegetation, vibrant community, and beautiful homes. We love that our son can ride his bike to Hopi, and we can walk to restaurants and shops.

We moved here because of the unique character of the neighborhood and want to see this maintained. In addition, I enjoy being involved in the community having previously been part of Men’s Art Council and the local Cub Scout troop where I was the treasurer and den leader.

My career has always been in the accounting field. I have over 20 years of experience working in both public accounting and in various industries. Currently I am the Controller of a national ambulance company. Outside of work, I enjoy working in my yard, running on the canal, and attending sporting events. The reason I am interested in joining ACMNA is the organization’s stated mission of neighborhood preservation.
