Subject: Assistance for Elderly within the community

With the recent events occurring around the world with COVID-19, the Phoenix Police Department is utilizing the Community Action officers to reach out to the communities for the following:

We are attempting to build a data base for the next upcoming months of Vulnerable Adults within the community who might not have family, friends, and/or the ability to do some basic needs. We are looking to help in various ways, possibly assisting in getting them basic necessities they cannot go out and shop for and find such as toilet paper, hand sanitizers and other items. We might even be able to help with some food packages and getting them medications if they are unable to pick them up.

If you have anyone in the community  you know of (Within the Mountain View Precinct) who fits this, could you please provide us with the following.

1: Their full name

2: Their address

3: A good contact number for them.

Again, this is ONLY for Vulnerable adults who are unable to get out and perform some of the basic necessities for themselves, such as shopping, picking up medications or other such items. We MAY be able to help with other items should they need it, but it will be on a case by case bases at this time. This is a pilot program, and will probably change and adapt as needs arise.

Thank you for you help, and any assistance you can provide in ideas, resources, or contacts is always appreciated. Thank you all for all you do, and know we are still here.

Stay healthy, Stay calm and continue to assist each other,

Officer Jared Sherman #9331
